Paula Abdul slips. Is American Idol Scripted?
This one’s funny. Read from Rickey that American Idol judge Paula Abdul commented on Jason Castro’s second song, when it wasnt even time to comment on it — and, that she was reading a script. Then, when it was “time”, she repeated everything… and basing on the comments, AI fans are not too happy about it. It’s almost like April Fools in reverse. Hehe.
So, what now, is this show rigged? American Idol favors one contestant over the other? But come to think of it, the judges’ opinion (scripted or not) matters only at a certain degree, cause it’s really the votes that count (or maybe the votes are not “real” too). Oh well, I cant vote.. am here in the Philly, so doesnt really mean that much to me. but, if the votes are rigged, just as the show is scripted, man.. seven years, wasted..
Hope the Idol here in the Philippines is not scripted. They’re already showing the auditions, and so far, everything looks “real”. Hope it stays that way.
For Parents, “Triple Ex” is Good for Children
Again, watched my morning news (Umagang Kay Ganda) and in the “Parenting” segment of the show, topics how to make kids better. Their guest talked about the 3Es, although Id like to call it Triple Ex for better recall — it’s Expose, Explore, and Experience — which are essential to making our children more well-rounded.
Expose means having to “expose” our kids to different activities. Letting them play outside and interact with other people other than the family, and other than the computer. Think this has something to do with kids wanting to play with Wii, or do online gaming, rather than play Patintero, Habulan — streetgames that we all played when we were kids.
Explore is let our children have options, as far as imagination is concerned. As the guest suggested, why not let the children play with sand and water instead of a battery-operated car? With the toy, the kid would just have to place batteries and the toy would do what it’s configured to do, and that’s it. Whereas if you let the kid play with water and sand, he’ll discover that he could “create” something out of simple things (sandcastle, perhaps?).
Experience is letting the children feel things. As we all know, experience is the best teacher — so let’s not be too tight with our kids and let them experience life, the way children should live. Let’s try not to force them to do things our way, or for us to be too protective that they wont experience hardships. Let them fight, let them get dirty, let them cry — these are experiences which would make them grow.
Who wouldnt want to have their kids having the good life?
David Beckham Looks Better without Facial Hair
Was doing my usual gossip blog hopping when I chanced upon this one photo of David Beckham sporting facial hair, and i have to say, he looks hell lot better without it.
Maybe it’s just me but I prefer to have facial hair “shaved”. It looks cleaner, and would smell better. lol. But then again, it’s just me. Anyway, for those curious about Beckham’s new look, here’s the link: http://dlisted.com/node/25548
I wonder how Victoria feels bout this?
