Insanity meets creativity.

Post-War

So this is how it feels a day after a semi-major production — could feel my mini-muscles aching a bit (same feeling I get after a few bowling sessions).. aside from my toe which got injured when i accidentally tripped over the steel barriers at the mall. Huhuhu.

Was late today, thank goodness wasnt that loaded (with work). And since i got nothing to do, i checked the pictures my colleagues and i took during yesterday’s Battle (of the Bands), and then uploaded them at my multiply account. We’re in a happy vibe cause of the super positive reviews we’ve been having cause of the event. We had a bit of a review on how the event went, and found out that a lot of my colleagues now have a crush on the Verses lead. lol. Me, Jamir and Ijo all the way. hihihi.

Then, in the afternoon, we had some diet pizza, diet meaning we had to eat a slice of a personal pizza, lol, a treat from my boss to welcome our new ojts Anton and Lalaine.

What else, my friend Cheeanne informed me that i’ll be part of the “offertory” on her wedding. This is gonna be my first wedding offertory thing. I was wondering what am gonna wear and she went with my suggestion that i go nude and offer myself as eve. hahaha. too funny, but not going to happen.

Also, Karen went back to work today.. she’s my officemate who recently had her baby, so she was really excited (i guess) talkin about breast pumps, and how the boobies harden when they get filled with milk, and stuff. lol.

PS: Kuya Alwell finally sent me the details for the new domain i registered. It’s thefilipinoweb.com, inactive as of the moment, but who knows what it would be a few months from now. Hehehe. Think positive. :)

Happy day

Wow, this is a great day! Aside from the fact that Manny Pacquiao won, knocked David Diaz out in nine rounds, our Battle of the Bands production went smoothly. Yey.

Am so happy cause it’s almost like my baby – though it was ECAP who suggested that we have a Battle of the Bands thing the last time we organized a green concert, a lot of things about today’s event’s from my weirdo mind — from the theme title to the concept paper, to the mechanics (a bit faulty cause of inexperience and lack of knowledge as far as band competition’s concerned), to the design (backdrop, posters, tarps).  Was there from concepcion till birth, lol… screening (of course, it was miss lou and sir toto who did that cause they’re experts in the field), to calling the bands, to texting them to make kulit about production needs, then today, production-proper, I was even julalay of the band (artist marshall, as they call it).

But it was all good.. I had fun. It’s a super welcome break from the monotonous thing that i do at the office, which is to write speeches and articles, or conduct lecture, or whatevs. Plus, i get to meet artist-musicians. Coolness.

Ansaya-saya. :)

Dream Interpretation

Is it possible for the dead to communicate with us through dreams… cause I usually dream of my relatives who’ve already gone up to heaven..

Just this night, I dreamt of my lolo, and in my dream, he transitioned from being more like a frozen person (sitting on a stool at the middle of their living room) to well, animated. He called me, and stretched his hands, as if calling me. In my dream, I grabbed his hand, and said, “lolo!” then i went with him somewhere — i forgot exactly where but i thought it’s a garden, or maybe somewhere in their house. He asked how we are, and I told him we’re happy and okay.. Then we strolled, then went to meet up with another relative who now, i have no recollection of.

I thought lolo’s trying to talk to me cause Im his favorite. Hehehe.

But this aint a weird dream, the weird one’s when i dreamt of my lola who i havent met (who died when mama’s still in gradeschool).. I dreamt she was in a yellow terno (filipiniana) and we were in a church, and then she introduced me to some other “oldies”, well, they’re not old in my dream but since they’re wearing ternos and barongs, I assumed they’re from a really, really different era.

Told mama bout it, and she was shocked, lol – maybe amazed. Then she said lola had this yellow terno on, and also when i described the church to her, she said it was the church lola goes to. Weird no. So, am guessing my lola and lolo are always with me, guiding us, more like angels. hihi.

Sweet. :)
