Operation, Angels, and Babies
My good friend, a high school barkada, texted me early this morning saying she’s in the hospital, waiting for a room to get vacant, as she’s due for an operation. Said she’s been bleeding for a month already. Of course, I was shocked to learn about it.
She’s terrified, who wouldnt.. Good thing her husband came home to be with her. Told her just look at it with a positive eye, that it could be a blessing in disguise, and that once the operation’s over and done with, she might get her super wish to finally have a baby.
Said she hopes “mag-dilang anghel ako” — for what i said to come true. Im praying for that too.
Speaking of babies, Angelina Jolie had just given birth to twins, a boy and a girl. The boy’s name is Knox Leon, and the girl, Vivienne Marcheline. That brings to four, her children with Brad Pitt: Maddox, Pax, Zahara, and Shiloh.
Hmmnn.. Why is the world suddenly filled with news about babies…
Well, they’re angels… atleast for now. lol.
Anxiety Attack and Hyperventilation Syndrome
Last night, I was watching Pinoy Dream Academy Season 2, and this one guy scholar, Chivas, was brought to the hospital — emergency, at that — apparently, for what the doctor called the Hyperventilation Syndrome.
See, that’s almost exactly what I had about three years ago… during the bagyong Milenyo. I was rushed to the emergency cause I wasnt able to breathe — as in just like what Chivas was last night. Although I think am worse than him then cause I was already moving like an epileptic (well, that’s when we got to the hospital). I was confined but the doctors found nothing wrong with my system — they ruled it was stress-related anxiety attack.
It was years back so now, am a bit better… am off the medications although i still bring the drugs all the time, just in case. There are times that I feel am hyperventilating, but as my psychologist advised then, it’s just mind over matter. I should control stress, and not me controlled by it. Things are a bit different for me now, i havent been going out alone since the time i had an attack at a party with Red, Ayin, Mamita, and Earl… good thing they knew what to do.. but im just trying to be safe. after all, this is me, and not the other people who would think am too dependent on someone else right now. Just trying to protect myself for all i care.
Anyway, I hope Chivas is okay… I know how he’s feeling.. i heard it’s not his first attack, so i know he can get over this one, too… Again, mind over matter.
Breathe.. chillax.
My New Pair of Glasses
Im Myopic.. near-sighted. Am a bit of a nerd back when I was still in school, and I had this habit of reading with lights off. Hehehe.
Anyway, so I got my new pair of eyeglasses today… I just had one a few months back, but i accidentally sat on it so it broke. Was so tamad to go to the mall to have my eyes checked, for a new pair of glasses, so when the opthalmologists (is this what they’re called?) visited our place, i signed up, then ordered this one.
Am so traditional… Not into contact lenses, not used to them… have this fear that they might get stuck in my eyes, and id go blind. waah. lol. Am okay with my glasses…
I can now see.. hahaha.
