Marimar’s Marian Rivera is the new Dyesebel on GMA Kapuso Primetime TV
Back in gradeschool (or highschool), I remember having watched Alice Dixon, and the young Carmina, play Dyesebel — and then Charlene Gonzales years after. But, Dyesebel’s pala’s as old as classic Philippine cinema. Was browsing the web and saw this from GMA7’s website, and it’s cool to know that we have timeless fictional characters that we all ought to be proud of.

Now, Marian Rivera (of Marimar fame)’s very priviledged to have gotten the chance to play Dyesebel. The primer was shown yesterday, and the characters were introduced a bit — the villains in the sea, and on land. Hopefully, Marian will be able to sell Dyesebel well to the younger audiences — so they’d also know more about Filipino literature.
So get ready to watch the new Dyesebel on kapuso tv, with a pilot episode on April 28, that’s on Monday.
